The songbird has gone, left her in the dust
Her song still carried across the land
The cage dirty and filled with must.
In hopes that he will hear over the rushing sand.
The dove was there to stay
The songbirds sorrows lifed.
He kept her safe and others at bay
He never wanted to let her be shifted.
But he has departed now
Left her alone and scared
For the songbird didn't know
How to deal with problems bared.
She loved the cage made of gold and glass
And the beautiful song he would sing.
But I suppose his return is more than she can ask
For it seems his return she cannot bring.
Someday the songbird might return.
And see what
His dove had gone and flown away
With her had gone his heart.
The pain, it seemed, was there to stay.
And that regrowth would surely start.
But the dove has come back to him
Bringing along his heart.
She sits upon a dark tree limb
And vows never to depart.
The cage of his of gold and glass
Was not what brought her back.
It was the fields of flowers, grass
That the other world had lacked.
And now the dove was here to stay
And the songbirds sorrows lifted.
He would keep her safe and keep others at bay
For he would never let her be shifted.
And together they'll be
Sharing one cage and more.
For no longer would either have to so
The Dove has finally flown home
Into his arms, where she belongs
The songbird, too, will no longer roam
With her cardinal she chirps her songs
Are there such thing as fairy tales?
Where all get what they most desire?
The wind will come, all gusts and gales
We'll wait and see if we can fly higher
For now we have our "happily ever after"
Or, at least, our happy for the time being
Those who don't look are forever dafter
Than those who keep their eyes open, seeing
that they can be happy too.
The dove has flown away,
to far and distant lands.
Because the poor creature cannot
Be content in just ones hands.
She seeks to find the truth
In happiness and love.
But for now all she can do
Is soar in the skies above.
She knows of all the pain
The sadness,
The longing,
That flows within the rain.
But keeps flying on and on
For cages cannot hold her.
It doesnt matter what theyre made of
Because by morning she is gone.
She needs more than pretty things
To make her come to land.
No matter if its gold
She needs the happiness the world brings.
But for now our poor dove
Cannot see anything past the lands
She only keeps flyi
His dove has gone and flown away
With her has gone his heart;
The pain, it seems, is here to stay
But soon the regrowth will start.
The dove doesn't mind a cage
Just not the cage HE has;
She seems to like one made of tin
Not beautiful gold and glass.
Someday the dove might return
And see what she has passed,
Maybe he'll find a songbird instead,
One whose love will last.
Luna huddled at the bottom of the hot air balloons basket. She couldn't go home now. Celestia would make fun of her forever. Luna sighed and sat up again. Maybe her sister would be happy that she was out and about having fun? Luna thought for a moment, hopeful. No, her sister would only make fun of her. Luna hung her head pulling her ears down. 'How embarassing,' she thought.
"Luna? Luna, are you okay in there?" Luna could hear Rainbow Dash calling her so she pulled herself to her hooves and looked around for the rainbow maned pegasus.
Dash was flying circles around the hot air balloon and in her arms, hoof to hoof, was one brightly colored
Rainbow Dash had escorted Luna home that night so that Luna would be able to get some sleep before her next lesson. Luna hadn't slept much at all though because she was too busy wondering what pink pie would taste like. Perhaps it was some sort of fruity flavor. Luna placed Abby upon her bookshelf. She didn't know what she was in for today and after last night she worried that she might break her dear friend so today Abby stayed home.
Luna made her way through Ponyville that afternoon with her saddle bag stuffed full of bandages and various other first aid. A pony could never be too careful, especially when the circumstances were unknown. Lu

Rainbow Colored Falling Stars
Luna sat within her room staring out across Equestria. Ponyville lay at the base of Canterlot and stretched out far before the Everfree forest consumed all that was in sight save a few skyscrapers from Manehattan that peeked over the trees at the very edge of the horizon. She enjoyed her view of Equestria but it wasn't what she really loved to look at. Luna turned her head up towards her beautiful night sky that was adorned by brightly shining stars burning brightly from millions of miles away just for her. The stars however were the only things out tonight as Equestria had fallen silently into the night as it did whenever Luna would raise t

Head over to my new deviant art
Inkynotebook.deviantart.com
and check out the newly revised first chapter and let me know what you think!
It's been submitted to ED for review. Wish me luck.
Not sure if I'm going to rewrite it as is or change it up to Luna canon as of the new Luna episode in season 2.
Hm....
Guess we'll find out once I start getting back into things. Also it may be slow to come up since I'm also working on other EQD fiction currently.
Go check out Unstable Ground if you have a chance :)
Moving some of my stuff from this deviant art to my new one
Inkynotebook.deviantart.com
So if you see it showing up there don't worry, it's me too; Not someone stealing my art.
I will hopefully be rewriting RCFS real soon as well.
Let me know if you want to see anything different with regards to the story.
Thanks :)
